About Us
Sure Shot Coffee Service was founded in 2020. I, Jim Connolly, had spent well over a decade in the coffee industry at that point. My first 8 years were spent covering ground all over New England as a field service technician as well as teaching classes at the MANE Conference in Providence, RI. In 2018, I moved to Seattle, WA and gained additional valuable experience managing the service department for one of the longest running and most well respected service companies in the country.
As 2020 was rolling in, I realized the time had come to start something of my own so I decided to relocate back to New England and partner up with a longtime friend and associate from the coffee world, Carlos Magalhaes. We filled a van with parts and hit the ground running that spring. A year later, we brought on second technician to help with the workload. Soon after that came technicians three and four as I had to start turning my focus towards equipment sales. We opened our first brick and mortar location in my hometown of Worcester, MA in the spring of 2024 complete with an equipment showroom for customers to check out the latest and greatest in coffee gear. A year later in 2025, as our service radius had continued to expand, we decided to open our second branch, in New York City, with Jorge Baello. Jorge had a similar path through the coffee service industry and has over 15 years of experience as one of the most trusted field technicians in NYC and was a natural fit to help us expand into a new market. We hope to open a brick and mortar location in NYC in the near future.
